AMC Pembroke Lakes

In 2025, I visited eight AMC theaters, two in Indianapolis, two in the Jacksonville area, and the rest in South Florida. There are also five other AMCs in South Florida that I missed in 2025, a couple of which I plan on hitting in 2026. However, by far, the best AMC theater I stepped foot into in 2025 (and I saw four movies there) was the AMC Pembroke Lakes 9.

The newest AMC in South Florida, after its opening in 2017, the AMC Pembroke Lakes offers stadium seating, a feature missing from many South Florida AMC locations. It also has an IMAX theater, an AMC Dolby theater, and an a newly added Prime at AMC theater, alongside its six standard digital theaters. I have yet to experience Prime at AMC, but Pembroke Lakes boasts only the second theater of its kind in the state of Florida.

AMC Pembroke Lakes isn’t the closest AMC to where I live, honestly, there are three closer. But if I seek out an AMC, mostly for AMC Dolby, Prime at AMC, or a self-serve ICEE machine, I will be at AMC Pembroke Lakes.
